Achahoish Primary School

Achahoish Primary is a small non-denominational school situated about eleven miles from Lochgilphead on the Kilberry road. The area around the school is rural upland located within Knapdale National Scenic Area.

Arinagour Primary School, which was built in 1954, is a non-denominational school situated in the village of Arinagour, Isle of Coll. The school covers the stages P1 to P7 and also houses a Pre 5 Unit that runs every morning during term time.

Arrochar Primary School

Arrochar Primary School sits on the banks of Loch Lomond with wonderful views of Ben Lomond. Pupils have ready access to an adjacent woodland area and the shoreline of the loch. The school serves the communities of Arrochar, Tarbet, Succoth and the surrounding area.

Bowmore Primary Gaelic

Bowmore Primary is a semi-open plan building situated to the west of the village of Bowmore, but within a few minutes walk of the centre, shops and main facilities. It hosts a Gaelic Medium Unit and a pre-school unit for both mainstream and Gaelic pupils alongside the mainstream school.

Bunessan Primary Gaelic

Bunessan Primary School lies just outside the village of Bunessan on the Ross of Mull and is surrounded by some of Mull’s most beautiful scenery. The school is a single storey traditional building which, combined with recent renovations and extensions, provides a pleasant and welcoming environment for learning. There is a large grass covered play area to which children have ready access with an adjoining football pitch for use by the pupils.

Campbeltown Grammar School

Campbeltown Grammar School was founded in 1686. It serves the town of Campbeltown, the south Kintyre area and the island of Gigha and has a roll of 360. The new school opened in February 2018 and is very much built for education in the 21st Century. State of the art classrooms all have Promethean Boards that teachers are using effectively to help make their lessons engaging and motivating.

Cardross Primary School

The village of Cardross is four miles west of Helensburgh and Cardross Primary School is the only primary school in the surrounding area. It is non-denominational and co-educational and all stages from P1 to 7 are taught. The building was completed in 1959 and is of traditional design.
