Cowal recycling on limited access route - 10/05/24
Due to a vehicle breakdown recycling collections due on Friday 10th May will now take place week commencing 13th May. Please leave your bins out by Monday 13th at 6am. The affected areas are Glendaruel and Tighnabruaich.

General waste and recycling on limited access route - Cowal UPDATE
Due to a vehicle breakdown, we have been unable to uplift general waste bins served by the limited access vehicle, due on Tuesday 7th May and Wednesday 8th May. The affected areas are Glendaruel and Tighnabruaich. We will provide a catch up service on Friday 10th May for the following areas:

Bridge of Orchy Recyling - 6th May 2024
Due to vehicle breakdown, Bridge of Orchy Recycling will now be collected on your next scheduled date, 20th May. Please leave any excess recycling and we will also collect this. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Due to a road accident we were unable to pick up general waste bins from Seilpoint to Tayinloan. This uplift will now take place on Monday 13th May.

General waste and recycling - Lochawe
Due to operational issues on 9th May, we have been unable to uplift general waste and recycling bins from the lower part of Lochawe. A catch up service is planned for Friday 10th May.

Islay Customer Service Point Temporary Closure
Islay Customer Service Point will be closed on Monday 13th May and re-open again on Tuesday 14th May. For any Registration Enquires, online and telephone services will still be available.
Mixed Recycling - Dervaig – Calgary – Salen, Fionnphort – Iona, Scenic Route.
Due to operational issues we were unable to uplift the following route this week: Dervaig – Calgary – Salen, Fionnphort – Iona, Scenic Route. This will be picked up on the next scheduled collection day. We will also collect any excess recycling. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Glass collections - Mull
The glass collections that were due to take place on 1st May for Dervaig, Calgary and Salen, will now take place on Friday 10th May. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Mull Recycling 29 & 30th April
Due to operational issues, Monday 29th April Dervaig – Calgary – Salen route, and Tuesday 30th April Fionnphort – Iona recycling route will not take place. Please do not present your bins for collection. We will will provide an update as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
C30 West Loch Awe near Kilmaha – road closed
The C30 West Loch Awe road near Kilmaha is currently closed due to the damage caused to the embankment in October 2023. Communities can gain access from either end but are unable to travel through. The diversion is A816 - A83 - A819 - A85 and vice versa.

A819 Electric Cottage - April 2024
Following previous works being halted due to severe weather damage to our roads and bridges infrastructure, October 2023 we were later able to re-start works on the A819 Electric Cottage. This is essential works to improve our road network.
Works recommenced on Monday 13 November 2023 at Electric Cottage under the control of traffic lights. PH 3 of the works dealt with the southern section of the scheme , excavating rock faces and filling embankments to re-align and widen the carriageway, along with associated improvements in roadside drainage and culverts.
Work continues under traffic light control at Electric Cottage to Inveraray - April 2024 - to complete re-alignment and widening of southern section to form a temporary running surface, under 2-way traffic .
Phase 4 widening scheduled to follow-on May - August 2024 to complete the widening and re-alignment of the section northwards, including the extension or replacement of culverts under the carriageway. Temporary traffic control by traffic lights, will be in place past the works.

Isle of Mull streetlighting faults - 08/09/23
**UPDATE 09.10.23 We have secured a ferry booking today and engineers will be attending faults on Mull this week
We have been struggling to secure a ferry booking to get our streetlighting team and equipment (including tower wagon) over to Mull to attend to reported streetlighting faults.
This is causing a delay in the normal repair timescales/targets
Street Lighting - Mull - B8035 Through Salen From A848 Junction To Kennedy's Garage
We are aware of lighting faults on the B8035 Salen.
We require the assistance of SSE for a new connection. We have requested a quote for this work and once this has been accepted we will provide a further update advising of a target completion date.
