Plans for a new business park at Oban Airport have taken a step forward with the announcement that Argyll and Bute Council has appointed hub North Scotland to oversee the project and Robertson Construction as the main contractor.

Argyll and Bute Council’s wild venison in schools pilot has won the ‘Best Sustainability Project in the UK at the Public Sector Catering Awards 2025. The project project brings the best of the local larder from Jura straight to school menus, with children now enjoying delicious wild venison meatballs and burgers.

The £43 million investment to build a new education campus on Mull is progressing following the decision earlier this month on the preferred site. Argyll and Bute Council will now work towards a detailed brief and concept design that will help inform the overall business case.
