Staff and children are celebrating at Apple Tree Nursery, Rothesay as they become the first nursery in Argyll and Bute, and only the third in Scotland, to receive a prestigious Gold from UNICEF UK’s Rights Respecting School programme.

Argyll and Bute Council’s Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) Pilot Project for the Lorn Arc Area has been extended by 10 years, allowing additional time to implement key infrastructure and development investments that will help to create a significant economic boost to the wider Oban area.

A visitor levy involves everyone, so the council is hosting a series of drop-in events and online information webinars to help people in Argyll and Bute find out more and get involved in assessing one for the area.
