About the artist
Janet Pierce (born Edinburgh, 1947) studied at Edinburgh College of Art and Moray House Edinburgh. Her work is informed by emotional landscapes, whether it be the Scottish Highlands or the seascapes of Donegal. Her work is concerned with capturing light, and her paintings often depict constant movement; her subjects are never static or sharply outlined, but in flux.
