About the artist
William Wright (1931-2016), also known as Bill Wright, studied at Glasgow School of Art. He was an award winning watercolourist, inspired by the seascape and ever changing sky on the Kintyre peninsula where he had a second home. He also worked as an educator, and was Dumbartonshire s youngest art advisor. He widened accessibility to and championed the importance of art education in secondary schools, supporting his ethos of encouraging an interest in art for all.
