About the artist
Robert Henderson Blyth RSW RSA (born Glasgow, 1919 1970) studied at Glasgow School of Art and Hospitalfield, Abroath. He served in the Royal Army Medical Corps during the Second World War, and continued to paint as he moved through the desolation of Europe. He taught at Edinburgh College of Art and as Head of Drawing and Painting, Gray s School of Art, Aberdeen.
