About the artist
Anda Paterson RSW RGI (born Glasgow, 1935) studied at Glasgow School of Art and Hospitalfield, Arboath. She taught at Jordanhill College School. Paterson is known for her figure paintings, which often have a social comment. The messy untidiness of human life, on one hand ridiculous & comic on the other, struggling, anxious and sometimes tragic. This is my subject matter.
