Financial support and grants for businesses

A Business Start-up grant of up to £1,000 is available to new businesses, funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

A Startup grant of up to £1,000 is available for full-time businesses (35+ hours per week) and up to £500 for part-time businesses (16-34 hours per week).  The grant is paid on approval of your application and supporting evidence.   

The aim of this grant is to help new businesses to establish and grow, by assisting with start-up costs. Find out more at Business Start-up Grant.

Our remaining programme of grants and specialist advice for businesses based in Argyll and Bute, funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, has closed for applications as all funding has been fully committed. We await information on future funding opportunities and will provide an update here when available.  In the meantime our Business Gateway team can signpost alternative sources of funding and continue to offer advice and support to help your business start, survive or grow.
