The third in a series of Public Consultation events was held in Clachan Village Hall on Wednesday 28 August between 6pm and 9pm as part of Argyll and Bute Council’s Local Flood Risk Management Plan.
Following the last consultation event in April 2019, an option appraisal process has been carried out to assess the long list of options presented at the previous meeting. This third event provided an opportunity to discuss the findings of and allow the community to share their views on the prioritised list of options.
The event comprised of “drop-in” sessions from 6pm to 7pm and 8pm to 9pm to allow informal discussion around the potential options. Flood defence experts also lead a presentation of the findings of the options appraisal (7pm to 8pm), followed by a Q & A session. Representatives from Argyll and Bute Council were in attendance to answer questions.
Your participation will help inform the finalisation of a preferred option to improve the resilience of Clachan to flooding, which may then be presented for consideration by the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency and the Scottish Government.
