Toward Primary School

Toward Primary School is on the Cowal Peninsula, seven miles south west of Dunoon, situated by the shore and surrounded by farm land commanding superb views over the Firth of Clyde towards Bute and the hills of Arran and beyond.

The school's catchment area stretches from the village of Toward right up the east side of Loch Striven.  Our playground overlooks the beach and a grass playing-field next to the school.

Our vision is to create a school where the pupils can reach their full potential academically, physically, spiritually and morally.  We want to enable our pupils to acquire the knowledge and skills to participate in a rapidly changing society in which they have a positive 'I can do it' attitude.  We aspire to create a safe and nurturing environment where the pupils are proud of who they are. As a school we work in partnership with pupils, parents, staff and the community to promote and look after our community, our school and our world.

HMIE inspection Reports:
