CORONA VIRUS ADVICE FOR PARENTS AND CARERS WITH YOUNG CHILDREN
All schools in Argyll and Bute Council are now closed, this included all ELC settings within schools.
Private and third sector providers, including nurseries and out of school care services are also now closed unless they are involved in the provision of emergency childcare for key workers and vulnerable children. Such care can be requested by emailing email@example.com
Argyll and Bute Council opened 10 of its school kitchens to ensure children who are entitled to free school meals can continue to receive those meals. If your child currently attends a local authority early years setting and is entitled to free school meals, parents and carers can phone the helpline to request a meal 01546 605524.
The Scottish Government has produced a guidance that applies to private and third sector childcare providers and sets out the range of business support that is available; Covid-19: Information for private and third sector childcare providers about business support.
The Scottish Government has asked that everyone, as much as possible stays at home and away from others (social distancing), more information is available on social distancing here. Separate advice is available on NHS Inform for individuals or households who are isolating.
Protect yourself and others:
- stay at home
- only go outside for essential food, health and work reasons
- stay 2 metres (6.5 feet) away from other people
- wash your hands regularly
