Small Isles Primary is a non denominational and co-educational school catering for children from the ages of 4.5 years to 12 years. The overall pupil capacity is 48. Built in 1968 the school building is of a single storey construction surrounded by grass and hard surface play areas. There are 2 classroom bases, a hall area which provides space for physical education and drama activities and a dining area which is also used by our pre five class.
The school enjoys the support of a committed and highly supportive School Board which, as well as involving itself in the full range of its statutory duties throughout the session, also provides support through its various fund raising activities.
Small Isles Primary enjoys close links with the local island community, many members of which make a valuable contribution to the life of the school. School activities such as church services, concerts and fund raising events are supported not only by parents, but also by the community in general.
HM Inspectorate of Education (HMIE) inspects and reports on the quality of education in pre-school centres, primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, community learning and development services, colleges, and residential educational provision.
