The Committee resolved in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 to exclude the public for the following item of business on the grounds that it was likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 4 and 9 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.

The Head of Democratic Services and Governance intimated that there had been no appearance from the appellant and that no written submissions had been lodged by the appellant.  The Committee agreed to adjourn the meeting for half-an-hour to allow time for the appellant to arrive in case there had been any travel difficulty.  The meeting adjourned until 10.30.a.m.

 

The meeting re-convened at 10.30.a.m. at which point the management representatives were invited into the meeting and were invited to make a submission as to how the matter should be dealt with.  After hearing submissions the Committee determined to take no action in dealing with the matter given the non appearance of the appellant.
