Management Committee Update PDF 141 KB Minutes: Samantha Somers provided an update of the meeting of 20 September, with
two specific topics in relation to MoD personnel living out with the immediate
area and the out of ours GP service at the Vale of Leven Hospital . Furthermore Chief Superintendent Hendren is the new chair of the CPP Management Committee. All partners were encouraged to circulate the CPP Highlights document throughout their organisations and networks. |

Partners Update Minutes: Tulsa
Davidson (SFRS) gave a presentation outlining the transformation strategy of
the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. Information was provided in relation to
the financial implications, delivery model and the benefits to the future
firefighter as well as the implications of a failure to transform the service.
Councillor Morton raised the issue of youth engagement and the potential for
future career opportunities. Paul
Robertson provided an update on behalf of Police Scotland in regard to the
appoint of new personnel in the division and a profile around the anti social behaviour under Operation Code, a joint
initiative involving British Transport Police, MoD, Police Scotland and Social
Work. He also spoke about issues with
military personnel reported in the local media involving licenced
premises. A partnership approach was
adopted and appeared to be working well.
He also touched on joint working with SFRS in the lead up to Bonfire
night and the focus on traffic complaints from members of the public with road
stop and speeding checks. The festive
campaign would again bring focus to responsible conduct on licensed
premises. An update was also given on
the financial impacts with a focus on modernisation of the service that had an
impact on the police estate. Youth
engagement work and the national park.
Mary Haggerty raised an issue about wild camping on the old torpedo
range opposite Arrochar. For consideration of patrol during the
proactive joint initiatives between PS and National Park Rangers. Discussion
from elected members about speeding complaints at Colgrain
and around local schools. Peninsula and
Kilcreggan also mentioned as problematic locations for speeding and increased
vehicle volume. ACTION – Police
Scotland: Proactive patrol of torpedo
range site (officers have been deployed to monitor this and will do so in the
future) ACTION – Police
Scotland to undertake patrols at schools once they return from the October
break (patrols undertaken as part of ongoing action plan at schools and speed

Kennedy, Scottish Enterprise, provided an up around the maritime change
programme. A demand assessment was
underway with focus on support for spouses. |

Consideration and sign off of H&L Area Community Planning Action Plan PDF 78 KB Additional documents: Minutes: Rona Gold took the Group
through the requirement placed on the Council by the Community Empowerment
(Scotland) Act 2015 to publish locality plans, known as Community Planning
Action Plans to address the inequality of experience across communities and
have actions to address these. All Community Planning partners are responsible
for ensuring the CPP delivers its commitments within the plans. The Plans are
required to be signed off in October 2017 by Area Community Planning Groups and
will form the basis of future meetings.

Review of H&L CPG Terms of Reference PDF 121 KB Minutes: The Group gave
consideration to a report highlighting the revisions to the Area Community
Planning Group (ACPG) Terms of Reference (TOR). The Terms of Reference were
approved. |

Review of membership of H&L CPG Minutes: The Group
gave consideration to a report outlining the current membership detail together
with changes and additional organisations who have, through local
circumstances, joined the ACPG since membership was agreed in March 2015.
Discussion took place in respect of organisations from a number of sectors
where there is currently no representation. ACTION –
check names of those nominated. |
