Argyll & Bute Child Protection Procedures Online Briefing

BRIEFING DETAILS: * all sessions delivered on teams*

This short briefing session is aimed to help staff navigate and utilise the online CP procedures on the Argyll and Bute Website.

Everyone has a duty and responsibility to protect all children from harm. The Argyll and Bute multi-agency child protection procedures are to assist staff in identifying indicators which might suggest that a child is being abused or is at risk of abuse, advise what steps should be taken if there are concerns about a child, and describe what happens once concerns have been reported.

Child Protection Committee Local Practitioner Events

Child Protection Committee Locality Practitioner Events 2024

What are these events?

The Committee would like to hear from practitioners from all fields who are involved in child protection work.  It’s important to us that we get to hear your thoughts, views and experiences of delivering this crucial work in Argyll and Bute.  It’s also important that we get the opportunity to meet with you and provide updates on the work of the committee and any developments.

Who should come along?

Disabled Children and Child Protection Training

COURSE DETAILS:

This course is aimed at providing an added level of child protection awareness in respect of disabled children. Learning and research suggests that, where there are welfare or protection concerns, these children are not always assessed in the same way as mainstream children.

It targets those practitioners who work closely with children and their families and who contribute to assessments of need in a child, up to and including where there are child protection concerns.
