How we work
The Council’s Constitution sets out how the council operates, how decisions are made and the procedures that are followed to ensure that these are efficient, transparent and accountable to local people.

GDPR: We take data protection steps to ensure that we handle information securely.
FOI: We make information about our work available in different ways, for example through this website, our social media channels, or keep in the loop service. We also respond to Freedom of Information requests.
Making decisions
Councillors make decisions on area-wide and local area matters at council committee meetings. Reports for consideration at these meetings are published on our website a week in advance. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
