Deadline for voting by proxy in upcoming Lomond North by-election

There is just one week left to apply for a proxy vote if you live in the Lomond North ward, want to vote in the upcoming by-election but can’t get to the polling station in person.

A proxy vote is where you appoint someone to attend at the polling station and cast your vote on your behalf.

You can download a proxy voting application form from Voting in the Scotland by-elections | Electoral Commission or by calling 0800 980 0470 to ask for a form.

Once you have completed the form, you should send it to the local Electoral Registration Office. People who live in the Lomond North ward and want to use a proxy vote for the December by-election need to send their application before the deadline of Wednesday 8 December 2021. You can email your application to ero-abc@dab-vjb.gov.uk or post it to Argyll and Bute Electoral Registration Office, Kilbrannan House, Bolgam Street, Campbeltown PA28 6JY.

You can apply for just one specific election or for a longer period if you want – you will have options to do this on your application form.
