What's love got to do with it?

Argyll and Bute Council’s Early Years Team is gearing up to host its annual Early Years Conference next month.

This year’s conference will take place on a virtual platform, from Tuesday 16 until Friday 19 November, and is an opportunity for early years professionals to come together to hear from national and international speakers, share examples of best practice, and explore ideas.

The title of the 2021 event is ‘What’s love got to do with it?’, and the sessions are based around the importance of a rights-focused, relationship-centred and play-based approach to education.

Argyll and Bute Council’s Policy Lead for Education, Councillor Yvonne McNeilly said: “The Early Years Conference is a great opportunity for everyone involved in early years education to get together and share ideas and best practice.

“We are committed to ensuring that our children and young people feel valued, and we are incredibly lucky in Argyll and Bute to have such an amazing Early Years Team who are committed to helping our learners grow and achieve the very best possible start in life. The conference will be an inspiring, motivational event and I look forward to attending.”
