Have your say, even if you're away

If you’re away on holiday on election day, it’s still possible to have your say!

For the UK General Election on 4th July, there are other ways to vote other than in person at the polling station – whether by choice or because you know you won’t be available on election day but still want to use your vote.

You can apply for a postal vote. It’s quick and easy to do and you can do it online - the deadline for this General Election is Tuesday 19 June 2024 at 5pm.

You can also apply for a proxy vote – where someone goes to the polling station to cast your vote for you. Both of you need to be registered to vote to do this. Again you can apply quickly and easily online before 5pm on Wednesday 26 June 2024.

Make sure you have the opportunity to use your vote and have your say in the UK General Election on 4 July – even if you’re away on holiday. The choice is yours!
