Argyll and Bute Council is inviting people in Helensburgh to have their say on plans to improve the walking, cycling and wheeling routes from the town centre to other key destinations in the east of Helensburgh, including the existing section of cycleway at Hermitage Academy.
The project, Helensburgh in Motion, is funded via the Scottish Government Places for Everyone Grant Programme, administered by Sustrans, and over the next six weeks residents, businesses and local organisations are invited to participate in a consultation about what improvements they would like to see. You can take part in the consultation until 5 January 2025 at https://pagepark.co.uk/hello/helensburgh-in-motion/
Councillor John Armour, the council’s Policy Lead for Roads and Transport, said: “This project demonstrates the council’s commitment to improving our communities’ resilience by improving accessibility for everyone and addressing the challenges of climate change through sustainable travel options. I would urge everyone affected to engage with this consultation so we can identify their needs to help shape our walking and cycling travel routes.”
