Scotland Loves Local Week runs from 26 August to 1 September and Argyll and Bute Council is encouraging communities to support local businesses by shopping locally.
Argyll and Bute Council is inviting people on the Isle of Bute to have their say on plans to make further improvements to the island’s walking and cycling links.
Data will be at the heart of key decision-making and improving outcomes for Argyll and Bute’s residents and communities, after councilors gave the green light to the council’s new Data Strategy and Action Plan for 2024-2028.
Argyll and Bute Council will lobby for funding to help protect the area’s lifeline routes and infrastructure against the effects of severe weather and climate change. This was agreed at the Policy and Resources Committee on Thursday.
Argyll and Bute Council is working in partnership with the new owner of the former Royal Hotel in Rothesay to develop a project to restore the grade B-listed building.
