Accessing free period products in Argyll and Bute

MyTribe - period products Argyll and ButeIt is now a legal requirement that period products are made freely available in Scotland, following the publication of the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act 2021.

Argyll and Bute Council recognises that this needs to be done in a way that protects people’s dignity, avoiding embarrassment and stigma. We have launched a bespoke initiative to make access to free period products as easy as possible. We have called this initiative My Tribe. The website allows you to order products for free on the Order products page. Please allow up to four weeks for your delivery to be made. You can order single use items or reusable products on our site. You can also visit any of the locations shown in on the Locations page where you can pick up items should you be caught short.

When you order your items, they will be delivered by post, but they may not fit through your letterbox. If you are out at the time of delivery receive a delivery note, you should collect from their local depot within 2 weeks, otherwise the parcel will be returned to our suppliers.

Please note that these products are free and are available to anyone in Argyll and Bute who needs them.
