- Tuesday: 10.00am to 11.00am
- Wednesday & Thursday: 2.00pm to 4.00pm
- Friday: 7.30am to 9.30 am and 2.30pm to 3.30pm
- Saturday: 9.00am to 1.00pm
- Sunday: Closed
What can you take there?
Householders can bring various items to the site for recycling/recovery. These items include: Batteries (car and household); cardboard and paper; cooking oil; electrical items (small, large and battery operated); engine oil ; food and drink cartons; metal (cans, tins, aerosols and scrap); fluorescent tubes; garden waste; glass bottles and jars; light bulbs ; plastic (bottles, pots, tubs and trays); and textiles.

Storage and disposal of waste upholstered domestic seating
You must place the following items in the designated container or area for upholstered furniture only:
- Settees, sofas and sofabeds
- Home office chairs and upholstered kitchen and dining room chairs
- Upholstered stools and footstools
- Floor and sofa cushions
- Armchairs, including reclining electric chairs
- Futons and pouffes
- Beanbags
This includes any part made of or containing leather, synthetic leather, other fabric or foam. The items named above must only be placed in the correct designated areas for upholstered furniture
- Please do not put upholstered furniture in other areas
- If you are unsure please speak to the site attendant
- Upholstered items should be kept whole whenever possible
- Damaged upholstered items should be covered and secured with tape
Disposal of asbestos waste
Waste containing asbestos must be packaged and disposed of following the guidelines from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) - Disposal of asbestos waste
- Waste must be packed in UN-approved packaging
- Double-wrap and label asbestos waste. Standard practice is to use a red inner bag with asbestos warnings, and a clear outer bag
- Avoid breaking up large pieces of asbestos waste. Instead double wrap in suitable polythene sheeting (1000-gauge) and label accordingly
