Amber light Roads

Emergency works on or near the U19 Barran Connel Road, approximately 0.5 km north of its junction with the C32 Oban-Glenlonan-Taynuilt Road at Barranrioch will be carried out from 8:00 on Monday 22nd July to 16:00 on Friday 26th July 2019 or until works are complete.

The diversion route from the collapsed culvert location is as follows;


U19 rare Breeds Park to A828 junction South Of Connel Bridge.

A828 Connel Bridge to A85 Junction.

A85 Connel to Oban Argyll Square.

A816 Argyll Square to Glencruitten Road.

C32 Glencruitten Road to Barran Kilmore Junction.

End of Diversion.


C32 Barran Kilmore Junction to Glencruitten Road.

A816 Glencruitten Road Junction to Argyll Square.

A85 Argyll Square to Connel.

A828 A85 Junction to U19 junction at Connel Bridge.

In order to ensure public safety, a decision has been made to close Duchess Wood in Helensburgh until further notice.

Part of the on-going management and maintenance of Duchess Wood includes undertaking a survey of the condition of the woodland.

Unfortunately, the most recent survey has highlighted a number of safety issues which need to be addressed, including urgent remedial works to trees.

We have therefore been advised it is necessary to close the woodland whilst necessary works are completed. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The general waste bins were not lifted today  in Lochgilphead  at

 Lorne Street and Stag Park.

Renewi are undertaking some essential re-surfacing works on Bogleha Civic Amenity Site.

To ensure the safety of customers the site be closed:

On Tuesday 23rd July and Wednesday 24th July.

The site will be open again from 0900 on Thursday 25th July.

Renewi would like to thank customers for their patience while this work is completed, and to apologise to customers for any inconvenience.
