Glass recycling collections due to be done on Tiree today (Friday 3rd December) have been delayed. We will provide an update here once we have arranged a new collection date for missed bins.

Due to a disruption, the commercial and domestic general waste uplift for Carradale, Waterfoot, Saddell, Torrisdale and Peninver was not completed on Tuesday 23rd November.
Missed bins were plannned to be collected on Saturday 27th November, but unfortunately this was not possible. Alternative arrangements were made for these bins to be collected today, however, we unable to do so. Missed bins in these areas will now be collected on Tuesday 30 November, so please leave your bin out for collection. Any excess waste will be collected at this time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

|B8001 Skipness to Claonaig road||

There is currently a large crack in the B8001 Skipness to Claonaig road. The road remains open and we are progressing a temporary repair which will involve filling in the crack while we design a suitable long term solution.
The permanent solution is likely to involve tying the road together with specialist steelwork which have a reasonably long lead-in time, meaning the work is unlikely to be progressed before late summer/autumn.

Due to ongoing improvement works, the B8024 road from the C23 junction at Tarbert Golf Club to the A83 junction at Stonefield will be closed for approximately 6-8 weeks. Expected to be re-open by 4th December at the lastest

Street Lighting associated with Argyll St building fire is currentlly unlit.
Once access to the area has been gained , we will assess the best method of restoring the full lighting system
In the mean time we are investigating , where we can give a temporay connection , to restore some of the lights.

Work will commence on Monday 6th December 2021 to resurface Cuan slip. Work will be done in stages over the next six to eight weeks to minimise disruption to ferry sailings. Due to the nature of the work, completing within planned timeframe will be heavily dependent on weather and tides. Further detail will be provided on possible disruption as soon as details are known.
