Castle Street - Port Bannatyne on the Isle of Bute is temporarily closed due to a dangerous building at No. 21 Castle Street.

Diversions are in Place but the closure will restrict on street parking.

The Council's Building Control Officers are working with others to have the safety concerns addressed as quickly as possible.

Updates on progress and the re-opening of the street will be provided.

Temporary changes have been made to our rubbish and recycling collections for households and businesses - from Monday 6th April we will be carrying out a 2-weekly collection service where general waste and recycling will be collected at the same time

Due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak and government instructions for workers and members of the public to reduce unnecessary exposure, a revised Summer timetable will be put in place on the Islay to Jura ferry for a temporary period. This will aid in minimising crew exposure in order for the vessel to continue service.
