Issue - meetings

James Lafferty supplied the following update for the Campbeltown THI:

·        Campbeltown Town Hall Project (THI key building) – covered above.

·        Work is progressing well at 13-15 Kirk Street (THI target building)

·        50-52 Main St / 2 Cross St – negotiations with the developer are ongoing.  Various meetings have taken place with the Design Team, Historic Scotland and Council Officer’s to facilitate the necessary transfer of ownership  to a developer in order that they can access  THI funds

·        A Traditional Building Surveying course took place on the 15 and 16/12/12.  Fifteen delegates, including architects and Council Officer’s attended.  The event  was delivered by the Scottish Traditional Skills Training Centre and featured on Radio Scotland’s Out of Doors programme on the 24/11/12.  To meet demand, an evening lecture was also delivered.

·        Despite the fact that no further funding is available (apart from the Town Hall and 50-52 Main St / 2 Cross St), demand for funding continues to grow, mainly from owners of town centre tenements.

James Laffery notes that  a number of owners and tenants are now  applying for the THI funding  James also noted that  CARS funding is now complete
