Trade Fair, Training, Accreditation and Digital Grant- Information for Applicants

You must use the downloadable application form and submit your application by email.

The information that you provide in the application form will be used to assess your application. The grant is awarded at Argyll and Bute Council’s discretion. You will not be able to access funding if it is likely to have a significant negative impact on other Argyll and Bute-based businesses.

You cannot be awarded a grant if you or your business has any debts owing to the Council and a check will be made if you submit an application form.  A credit check may be undertaken.

The deadline for applications was 5pm on 4th September 2024 and you can no longer apply for this support. If additional funding becomes available we will provide an update as quickly as possible

Any costs incurred or committed to prior to a written offer of grant being issued and accepted are ineligible. Only items specified in the offer of grant can be claimed. To substitute an approved item, or if the cost of an approved item increases by more than 20%, you must obtain written approval for the change before purchasing the item.  Failure to do this could impact your grant payment. Payment of the grant is made against proof of expenditure. Claims for approved costs should be submitted within 12 weeks of any offer of grant.  Any extension to this must be requested in advance and approval for this cannot be guaranteed.

This grant is funded by the UK Government under the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Any payment received is taxable and must be declared to HMRC as appropriate as part of the tax return for the business.
