Trauma Training Co-ordinator
Clare Williams – Trauma Training Co-Ordinator
Hi, I’m Clare and I am the Local Authority Trauma Training Co-Ordinator. My background is in Multisystemic Therapy, and I have a wealth of experience in working with children and families affected by trauma and delivering trauma-focussed interventions.
I know Argyll and Bute have already taken some huge strides towards being a Trauma Responsive workforce and the conversations I have already had with staff can attest to this commitment.
My role will be to help take this to the next level for our whole children's workforce, whatever your role – to understand what you and your team need in order to become ever more trauma aware and responsive and help you achieve this. I will be developing and delivering multiagency training to target your team’s needs and supporting your service to achieve your Trauma Responsive goals beyond training.
Being new to Argyll and Bute I have already been struck by the warmth of your welcome and by your commitment to being trauma responsive practitioners and services. I’m still learning about the local authority structures, teams, localities and broader partnerships, so please do get in touch/say hello if you see me!
If you have any ideas, suggestions, reflections or feedback, please don’t hesitate to contact me on clare.williams@argyll-bute.gov.uk and I will happily set up a meeting.
