Trauma Informed Practice Training

Wellbeing resources

We believe that creating a healthy workplace culture is vital to delivering trauma-responsive services, and that staff wellbeing is at the centre of this. Positive wellbeing does not only impact on staff as individuals, but on friends, family and the people we work with.

At Argyll and Bute, it is important that all of our staff to feel safe and supported in their work, especially when supporting those affected by trauma. We understand that working with those affected by trauma can increase the risk of vicarious trauma, moral injury and compassion fatigue. Therefore, we have dedicated a section of this website to providing you with up to date resources to help support you in your role.

Argyll and Bute council employees – Employee Assist Programme. With access to a telephone helpline and numerous resources to help with everything from financial worries, diet and exercise plans to coping with loss and living with PTSD.
